Our client designs and manufactures aerostructures for both the civil and military aerospace markets. They are seeking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer on an initial 6-month contract based near to Southampton.
The role would be a mix of Manufacturing Engineering / Lean Manufacturing and Project Planning. With responsibilities including, but by no means limited to:
* Identification of potential manufacturing NPI solutions
* Identification of technologies and solutions for existing manufacturing processes
* CAD drafting and project planning of proposals
* Identification of milestones (lead times of plant and equipment, PO placement and project execution)
In short, our client is seeking applicants who are highly computer literate with experience of facilities setup. Our client will happily consider candidates from a Automotive background or from a Lean Manufacturing environment. Ideally Six Sigma belted although Black Belt is not essential, happy to consider Yellow or Green.
There may be some UK travel for the is role although it will be minor. Ideally applicants need to have a strong bias towards Sim Software they may be asked to travel to Sweden to run a program within a University.
