Powertrain Cooling Project Engineer

This is a key role in Powertrain Cooling department with responsibility for the delivery to GPDS milestones of the overall Cooling System. The role involves a number of key activities: Representing the department in a Project Team forum, negotiation with internal and external team members to ensure compliance with system targets, management of Component Engineers to deliver individual parts to ensure delivery of the overall system, reporting project status to seniors in various forums.

Skills Required:
Strong Project Management skills and able to control multi-project workload. Experience of Powertrain Systems is desirable. The role will require an adaptable individual who is able to deal with a number of diverse tasks. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role. Construct overall delivery plans and maintain it. Strong negotiation skills and PC literate in all core packages. Team player who is able to get the best out of people.

Experience Required:
Understanding of Powertrain/Cooling installations desirable with a descent level of experience in Automotive Engineering. Flexible, motivated with strong negotiation and meeting skills. Must be able to foster good working relationships internally and drive suppliers to achieve goals. Proven ability to manage own workload and monitor others within delivery team to ensure targets are met. Must be able to communicate and able to present information in a concise and factual manner. Good working knowledge of OEM systems - WERS, eFDVS - is desirable.

Education Required:
Reasonable experience in Automotive Engineering. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or a similar level qualification in Project Management.
