Our client designs and manufactures aerostructures for both the civil and military aerospace markets.
We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator on a 6-month contract based near Southampton.
As Project Coordinator, you will provide direct support to engineering leads in gathering technical information and documentation required to perform their jobs, plus:
* Manage functional resource planning to meet program, engineering and operational plans with lead engineers
* Generate reports and metrics to support management team daily operational decisions and planning
* Support Engineering Project Management daily priorities on behalf of engineering sub section leads
* Coordinate work packages to deliver functional project schedules
* Identify opportunities and establish solutions to improve team performance at tactical level
* Provide support to engineering operations leader and engineering project managers from within engineering sub section
* Analysis of cost, schedule and planning detail for engineering sub section function
* Manage Rosters, team updates, engagement plans and recruitment administration on behalf of functional technical lead
* Any other task as directed by functional technical lead
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Advanced Excel
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Basic Microsoft Project
* Basic understanding of planning
* Highly motivated and proactive individual
* Engineering background, preferably in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Able to work flexibly as the program schedule dictates
* Basic understanding of engineering processes for design for manufacturing
