Specialising in Transmission Technology, supplying the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Marine and Motor Sports Sectors.

They are currently seeking an experienced Manual Miller to set, operate and run a Manual Mill to produce parts to quality standards on a day shift basis.
As the Manual Miller you will be responsible:

To set, operate and run manual mill to produce parts to the clients drawings
To consult with engineers/machinists to manufacture work-holding fixtures and devices
To undertake day to day maintenance of machines
To undertake day to day maintenance of working area
To consult with Production Control for work requirements
Complete Quality Control Plans and all documentation
Work under instruction from the Fitting Shop on modifications
To be able and willing to operate additional machines when required
To be part of the personal development process and attend reviews as required
To observe the Health and Safety rules at all times.
To follow the company quality procedures.
To carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.

The Manual Miller will have a solid mechanical/engineering background ideally from automotive/aerospace/motorsport background with vertical and horizontal milling machine experience. Knowledge of Ajax and Huron would be desirable.
Tool making experience is essential along with experience of producing small batches with short lead times.
The successful applicant will need to have enough prior experience and knowledge to start the job with minimal training.

Must be able to work unsupervised and under pressure.
