Applications Engineer - Diesel Engineering

The World`s largest supplier of essential components and systems for automobiles, including air conditioners, fuel injection systems, alternators, meters and filters among others is looking to recruit an Applications Engineer specifying in diesel engineering.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing engineering applications support for the EU common rail diesel projects.
Supporting the development of hardware specifications through discussions with the customer, manufacturing and headquarters in Japan.
Providing engine application support, including FIE calibration and validation.
Producing project plans to manage their own work and specify the requirements of those that feed into their work stream.
Making engineering decisions and recommendations that would require approval from the Principle Engineer/Engineering Manager.
You will have access to laboratory, chassis dyno and test bed facilities.
Personal Requirements:
Engineering Degree, preferably automotive or mechanical.
To must be computer literate, and should have the ability to analyse problems in an controlled manner and also have experience of EMS and application tools.
Engine development experience, on either Gasoline or Diesel engines.
You should be prepared to travel to customer sites 2-3 times a week.
