Our client is the main stamping site for this multi-site manufacturer of automotive body panels for many of the world`s leading vehicle producers.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Change Engineer to manage and lead our engineering change process. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for driving forward continuous improvement initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, reducing operational costs whilst increasing productivity, quality and efficiency via Lean Manufacturing principles. With experience of managing or coordinating business improvement projects and acting as a change agent using technical and lean tools.
The successful candidate will manage and lead the Engineering Change Process ie.
Assess customer drawings for feasibility / changes
Est viable concepts to bring about these changes
Develop quotations and lead times which need to be agreed with customers
Manage the change into the production process within budget and maximise profit for the Plant
Manage / lead the internal changes generated


They will need to be from a technical engineering background, understand our processes (pressing and robot/ped welding), be commercially aware and have experience of engineering change / lean / 6-sigma (methodology if not an accredited belt) / project management.
