Test Technician

£150 - 170 per day
Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Test Technician on a 3 month contract basis.
Based in the Test Operations Division and reporting to the Team Leader, the individual will work as part of an established team, with constant challenges to improve quality and capability.
Duties to include:
* Involved in the development, commissioning and operation of steady state and transient test beds including the support to commission of new systems
* Installing and testing production and development racing engines
* General maintenance of the test bed including driveline maintenance and repairs
* Identification and resolution of engine faults including entry into the fault system
* Provide support to the relevant Test Engineer
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years experience of engine testing and test automation systems
- Sound mechanical knowledge of engines
- Engine electrical and electronic systems knowledge an advantage
- Aptitude for computing, MS Office and knowledge of ECU systems would be an advantage
- Test data processing and interpretation
- Engine assembly
Essential Qualifications
- Engineering Apprenticeship/BTEC/HNC Mechanical Engineering preferred
