Our client is one of the world`s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers. Established for more than 60 years its product line-up has, more recently, moved into the design and manufacture of passenger cars, including electric vehicles.
A new ongoing contract opportunity has arisen for a Principal Engineer (Interior Manual)
This role is primarily based in the Coventry area, although travel overseas will be required to support the project.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer (Interior Trim - Interior Trim Manual), the individual will be responsible for creating a Design Manual for Interior Trim that details the best practices from leading OEM`s to support the development of future vehicles.
Role Requirements:
- Degree qualified or similar qualification.
- A minimum of five years automotive experience is essential.
- Good understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques and design.
- Writing reports and creating presentations to support research work.
- Strong numeracy and literacy.
- Good logical reasoning.
- Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary.
- Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service.
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in a relevant technical speciality. Some will already be chartered or working towards
chartered status.
