A talented Commodity Manager - Electrics is required by this dynamic first tier supplier to the global aviation industry. A leader in composite and metallic technologies, the business is equally focused on military and civil markets. As Commodity Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing a commodity strategy that benefits the business by developing supplier relationships and reduces cost and risk within the supply chain.
Key Accountabilities:
Develop and implement short, medium and long-term commodity strategies that are aligned with site and divisional objectives, analyse suppliers` cost competitiveness and work with suppliers to reduce cost through product and process improvement, hold regular Senior Business Review meetings with key suppliers, employ risk management to identify and assess the risk of a supply failure and develop contingency plans or take pro-active action to minimise or eliminate risk, ensure contracts are in place with all suppliers within commodity, delivery of appropriate procurement tasks within the Bid Process, supplier negotiations to support New product Introduction and Transition projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
You must have a degree qualification in Business Administration or other relevant discipline, be CIPS qualified and have previous experience in Aerospace together with experience in implementing industry leading best practices.
