Finance Manager

Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire. The Finance Manager will support the business in the controlling and financial management and reporting of business performance.
Manage and co-ordinate the day to day running of the finance function.
Support the financial controller in the provision of management information to enable the business to be effectively and adequately managed.
Day to day management of a team of 7 covering the core finance functions. (Payables / Payroll / Cashflow / Stock / Capex)
Accrual and Prepayment of COS / OHD as appropriate
Management and review of the financial accounts on an on-going basis raising any issues or areas of concern with the financial controller.
Preparation of monthly management accounts along with associated supporting papers and Board papers.
Initial review and secondary review in conjunction with the financial controller of monthly business performance against budget and forecast
Analysis of actual costs versus budget / forecasts and any arising variance analysis of deviations.
In conjunction with the project controller monthly calculation and detailed review of business / project unbilled to ensure validity and timely conversion of unbilled to debtors to optimise business cash inflow.
Preparation of the monthly cashflow report and review and validation with the financial controller.
Control and review of the business capital approval and expenditure process.
ACCA / CIMA Qualified or equivalent
Typically 3 Years post qualification experience
Proven track record of people management within a team of direct reports
Advanced knowledge of Excel
System report writing and data extraction
Working knowledge of pension accounting and administration framework.
Knowledge of RandD corporation tax framework
Use of investment appraisal techniques
Candidates should possess analytical skills and be able to think creatively. They will need to be proactive and have good interpersonal skills.
