We have a requirement for interim Material Planners within the Supply Chain. This position collaborates with suppliers to ensure execution to planned orders and schedules, and resolves issues with suppliers to ensure material availability for facility production. The incumbent works with the facility production schedulers and operations personnel to support facility production and point of use material availability.
Ensures the timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate deliveries and shipping schedules to meet facility production plans.
This position actions MRP outputs aligning part schedules to production requirements.
Performs work to improve point of use material availability
Initiate, co-ordinate and participate in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels.
Manage and control effective engineering changes
Be involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material.
Resolve invoicing and receiving discrepancies.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self motivated with good attention to detail
PC Skills are essential
Knowledge and/or experience in material control or purchasing would be an advantage.
Knowledge of MRP systems would be an advantage
Ideally possess a technical/commercial qualification at degree level or relevant experience.
