A Squeak & Rattle Lead Launch Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
Squeak & Rattle Lead Launch Engineer covering:
S&R representative at daily start up meeting and launch AIMs reviews.
Generation of S&R Launch Metric documents.
Present the S&R status to the Launch Team at the relevant New Model Launch Reviews.
Attend meetings, root cause issues and respond, leading root cause investigation of issues. Prepare Evaluation Vehicles.
Coordinate update of fleet and respond to FMS issues. Work with Centres of Competences to monitor build identifying potential S&R issues and recommending solutions.

Job Requirements
Support solution development with engineering and manufacturing.
Support online product coaches with information on S&R build concerns.
Raise AIMs from build & Dynamic Audit.
Maintain the launch metric data.
Ensure all lessons learnt from the launch are captured in the Core Team data base.
Support full vehicle post build S&R testing in hydropulse and on S&R test track.
Coordinate update of eCube with latest S&R modifications.

Details
Skills Required:
Good team player, able to lead a cross functional team of design, development, and manufacturing associates to identify and resolve S&R design and manufacturing issues. Good background in general engineering methods and standards.
Experience of problem solving tools e.g. Six Sigma, etc. and quality engineering processes e.g. FMEA, Form 4 mapping, DOE, etc.
Good communication and presentation skills to all levels. The ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside.
Creativity and innovation; and an ability and willingness to cooperate in cross-functional teams.
Good data analysis and PC skills. Full UK driving licence.
Able to pass company medical for climatic testing. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a manufacturing launch team environment. Able to manage multiple tasks. Prepared to work evenings and weekends at key periods of the project.

Experience Required:
Experience of S&R track and 4 - poster based testing. Ideally experienced in AIMS and Product Change Management
