A Software Development Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.

Description
Position Description:
To deliver model-based software development process and drive MIL/SIL/HIL strategy across Electrical Engineering and PD. The successful candidate will be also responsible to map existing model-based software development processes using systems engineering approaches in order to develop new standards and processes in the area of model-based engineering.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Experience with MATLAB, Simulink and Stateflow modelling tools. Experience with requirements capture packages such as DOORS and IBM Rational Suite tools. Experience with AUTOSAR, model coverage and modelling guidelines such as MISRA. Experience with model-based software development process.

Skills Preferred:
Experience of working to deadlines and organising own time management procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to drive change across different functional areas. Good knowledge of automotive ECU electrical interface, sensor/actuator electrical interface. Good understanding of CAN/LIN/MOST communication.

Details
Experience Required:
Experience with model-based systems engineering. Experience with Matlab V&V and model linking to requirements. Experience with systems level validation using simulation platforms such as dSPACE.

Education Required:
Qualified to engineering degree level.
