An Instrument Cluster PMST Leader is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in the West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
Definition of electrical and mechanical specifications for new instrument pack projects. Management of project, defining component & vehicle test requirements, carrying out the testing and reporting according to these requirements. PMST role, & acting as the main engineering interface to suppliers, from initial RFQ to full production.
Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Ability to understand and create automotive electrical specifications. Self-starting, knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
Skills Preferred:
A broad appreciation of the vehicle systems that interface to the instrument cluster, such as Chassis, Body Electrical Systems, Brakes and Powertrain would be advantageous. Also some HMI knowledge, and understanding of displays technology.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience in a project management / project delivery role is essential, as is the ability to self-manage workload, prioritise tasks and plan effectively. Knowledge of automotive electrical systems is essential.
Experience Preferred:
Working with automotive suppliers to deliver vehicle projects.
Education Required:
Degree level in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or an equivalent technical subject.
Additional Information:
Primarily based at Whitley, potentially moving to Gaydon later in 2011.
