Our client is the main stamping site for this multi-site manufacturer of automotive body panels for many of the world`s leading vehicle producers and this role is to ensure that bespoke engineering solutions are delivered to customers within the timescales and to the quality expected.
Product Design
Work closely with customer management to understand the business requirement for the project, developing effective working relationships and on-going management processes for the project.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project team as necessary.
Define the deliverables, resource requirements and work plan for the project, manage their development and delivery.
To ensure that the project is delivered within the financial requirements of the business Unit.
To estimate and plan projects from start to finish, with built in contingencies.
To ensure projects meet industry leading quality standards.
Manage, monitor and motivate the cross functional team assigned to the project.
Conduct project presentations and compile reports for both internal and external customers.
Prepare monthly KPI reports for senior management.
PMST Leadership
To lead a cross functional team to achieve the goal of engineering and delivering error free components / system which achieve PSW inline with programme timing.
Generation and issue of meeting minutes covering the following.
Delivery of GPDS requirements covering but not limited to the following,
o - Release of Compatible CAD geometry
o Generation of the BOM inline with commonality requirements.
o Design and Appearance
o DVP
o Durability and reliability.
o CAE compatibility / Clash analysis etc.
o Compliance with all Customer / Legal standards, i.e. SDS / WCR.
Management of Engineering change Internal PCR / AIM s systems.

Educated to Degree level in Engineering.
Member of Professional Engineering Institution, Chartered Engineer.
Minimum 15 years experience in automotive engineering.
Strong technical engineering background with substantial experience of managing large and complex development programmes. Experience of the whole project life cycle.
An in depth knowledge of BIW stamping and Assembly processes for low and high volume applications.
