The Product and Process Integration Engineer has the responsibility to secure the complete process chain from supplied part through to finished product for dimensional control, including geometrically influenced functional aspects, providing a cross Technology approach whilst managing a personal problem landscape to effectively mature the product and processes up to Start of Production (SOP) and beyond.
Support in production operations when the problem solving process requires complex analysis and/or cross technology (function) considerations.
Liaison with design engineers to ensure buildability of product.
Uses CAD DMU tools (CATIA v5 or Visview) to evaluate design condition and establish root cause of deviations from nominal standard.
Able to interact with Metrology department in developing geometric measurement analysis and can evaluate reports for root cause and then input problem into Product Quality Management system (PQM).
Ability to steer engineering meetings
Liaison with other team members regarding product engineering problems.
Liaison with the Quality Audit department to understand and take direct action to eradicate significant faults identified by audit.
Will act upon non compliance to product and operational Quality Standards to return the process to a state of control.
Inspection and sign off of specification and quality standard for prototype products prior to shipment.
Creation of Handover Protocols (HOP) detailing all deviations to standards and specifications on a product.
Qualification:

Engineering qualified up to degree level with at least 10 years experience of production engineering.
Basic investigative CAD skills - PRISMA (CATIA 4 or later) including Visview or similar package i.e. Sectioning, Measurement and Clash Detection
Experienced in automotive manufacturing technology and processes
IT literate and able to interact with established systems with minimal training.
Skilled in Microsoft office applications
Conversant with CMM Metrology processes and analysis reports
Conversant with automotive test processes
Conversant with and able to practice Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Will be experienced in driving the reduction of non compliance by daily identification, analysis and reporting.
Will have the experience to be able to focus on cosmetic faults and product damage and identify root causes within the process.
