A Steering Column Movement Systems Engineer is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Systems Engineer required to design, test and delivery a Cross vehicle Electro-Mechanical Steering Column movement system and support the software development of the next generation seat modules. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating hardware components and functional models into the specification as required by the supplier base. The engineer will also be responsible to maintain tracking of all verification and validation activities using the HIL test rig and develop test plans to support the Column and Seating Electronics Engineering function areas.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Stateflow Modelling, Matlab, Simulink. Experience with dSpace simulators and MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow. Experience with automated test script development Good knowledge of automotive ECU electrical interface; sensor/actuator electrical interface. Good understanding of CAN/LIN/MOST communication.

Skills Preferred:
OEM Processes: AIMS/WERS/eFDVS. Experience with Seating Systems, Column Control, Restraints Control Module, Crash Sensors, Occupancy Classification Sensor, Occupancy Detection Sensor and Beltminder System is an advantage.

Additional Information:
Contract to be based at Whitley but subject to a move to Gaydon with a minimum notice period of 6 weeks.
