Our client is a leading automotive component manufacturer.
The primary responsibility of the job is to manage the Material Services (Inventory and Planning) activity, ensuring supply to the production facility is in line with the demand plan. You will use your knowledge of the whole supply chain process and will be responsible for sourcing and procurement activities whilst optimizing inventory levels. You will work closely with Production Teams in order to identify and challenge practices within the supply chain that are wasteful. In addition, utilising data and metrics you will analyse and review opportunities for reducing inventory costs whilst maintaining high quality standards.
The ideal candidate will be certified in Inventory Management (CPIM), APICS, MCIPS or an equivalent qualification (candidates working towards such certificates will also be considered). You must have a good knowledge of Manufacturing BOM s, Routes and Material Handling, understand the importance of Inventory Accuracy, be able to highlight experience of managing teams and be able to co-ordinate a team workload and activities in line with business needs. You must have strong management skills to lead and develop a team, be resilient, able to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure. You will also need in depth knowledge of Press planning, Capacity planning, Weld sequence and Sub Assembly planning.
