Indirect Buyer

£200 - 210 per day + ?212.50/day
Our client is a precision low volume, high performance powertrain company with links to motor racing.
They are currently seeking to recruit an Indirect Buyer on a contract basis initially until March 2013.
As Indirect Buyer you will be responsible for the following:
- Raising SAP orders
- Managing the whole order-to-pay process, including expediting parts around the business, managing delivery dates and invoice queries
- Contract management ensuring day to day running of contracts including organising review meetings. You will be required to run these meetings covering the Service Level Agreements (SLA s) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI s).
- Development of key suppliers to improve suppliers performance.
- Purchase Order Management
- Identifying and implementing savings/cost reduction/productivity objectives
- Achieve purchasing performance KPI s.
Role Requirements:
- Must have indirect purchasing experience in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- MCIPS qualified
- Must have SAP experience
- Must be confident in running meetings and meeting people
- Must have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative
- Able to work well as part of a team and know when to escalate issues
- Good negotiation skills.
