My client leads the world in integrated engine, powertrain solutions and air intake manifolds from clean sheet design concept through castings, manufacture and vehicle installation to calibration, onboard diagnostics and telemetry.

My client requires a Head of Quality and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below... To manage, drive and continuous improve quality systems to ensure the robust manufacture of quality products in-line with customer requirements and expectations.
Key activities are to lead a cross-functional quality team to enable the robust management of Quality System, Customer Quality, Production Quality, Project Quality (APQP) and Laboratory (Metrology, Test and Validation) activities
Management of all quality activities and deliverables within my clients plant
Management representative for corporate quality and Customer quality interface and external audit and customer audit standards Manage plant Quality Systems deliverables and activities ensuring compliance with TS16949, Corporate and Customer requirements
Robust management of Customer Concern and Customer Satisfaction deliverables / Scorecard
Drive Production Quality Improvements (i.e.) Scrap, Rework, NRFT
Manage the Internal Audit processes (ie) Systems Audits, Product and Process Audits, Control Plan Audits. Ensure robust countermeasures for systemic Non-Conformances
Lead and facilitate problem solving reviews ( 8d s and 5 Why s) for customer and internal concerns
Management the control and disposition of Non-Conforming Material within the plant
Manage the Internal Deviation System
Manage the APQP and PPAP landscape

Must have:
HND/ HNC, or Degree in Engineering
Proficient in G.D.T, SPC, APQP, Quality System requirements
Knowledge of TS16949
Extensive knowledge of Customer Specifics
5 years plus Automotive experience
