Electronics Systems Engineer

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for an Electronics Systems Engineer to develop real-time electronic control systems for diesel fuel injection equipment and other integrated engine and vehicle electronic systems.
This position can be worked as either a permanent or contract position
The main role of the Electronics Systems Engineer will be drawn from the following:
Ability to independently, plan and develop a product or engineering component
Experience of control strategies development in Matlab
Drive reuse and commonality where possible
Awareness and integration of Industry trends
Provide expertise for investigations and problem solving activities
Capturing and analysing customer requirements, designing control algorithms (using Simulink), designing system diagnostics and CAN communication specifications
Developing validation tests for dSpace HiL
Calibrating sensor interfaces and diagnostic strategies
Calibrating servo controls and regulators
Supporting customer s engine and vehicle testing
Supporting system and hardware FMEA
Experience in the following tools:
SPICE, Simulink, Mathworks, Engine Control, dSpace, HiL (hardware in the loop), diagnostics, CAN,
FMEA, Algorithm Development, Validation, Calibration, OBD, Requirements Analysis, Stateflow,
eCoder, MISRA, EGAS, Autocode
The Electronics Systems Engineers will be educated to degree level in electronic, electromechanical or mechanical engineering
Experience of developing real time embedded control systems with an Automotive background with solid experience of defining control strategies in Simulink.
Awareness of the SPICE assessment model and experience of a production intent auto-coding environment.
Previous experience in a customer facing technical position
