An opportunity for a Process Engineer has arisen to work with our client who design, manufacture and certify heat management systems for the aerospace industry. Any experience with implementing robotics and automation as a Process Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer will be applicable to this role.
As Process Engineer you will be responsible for developing existing automation systems and implementing new bespoke automation projects within the tube manipulation, component handling, assembly and test environment. You will identify the most cost effective methods of manufacture thereby reducing cost, through investment in capital equipment and development of processes both internally and with suppliers.

You will have a proven track record of involvement and implementation of automation and robotics. Provide ongoing support for existing automation projects. Have an in depth knowledge of electrics and electronics, preferably 17th edition compliant. Have knowledge of Mitsubishi P.L.C. Possess a basic working knowledge of pneumatics. Project manage implementation of process improvements. Prepare capital expenditure requests, justify capital expenditure and control budgets included with the capital expenditure. Work with on site maintenance to produce TPM schedules for plant and equipment.
Understand and implement OEE for any new plant and equipment if suitable. Use SPC and gauge RandR to prove capability of any new plant and equipment. Understand lean manufacturing techniques.
Preferably educated to HNC level, you will possess a basic working knowledge of pneumatics and have an in-depth knowledge of electrics and electronics, preferably 17th edition compliant.

You will be computer literate in MS packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project) and have knowledge of Mitsubishi P.L.C.
