Capital Accountant

Key Responsibilities
The main duties include:
- To be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the fixed asset ledger records
- To support the statutory accounts process for capital reporting
- To be responsible for ensuring that capital budgets are set appropriately
- To be responsible for preparing and managing monthly budget holder meetings to evaluate performance of capital development spend against budget
- To provide depreciation forecast and explanations of variances during annual business plan and quarterly forecasting
- Assist in the physical asset verification process
- Collating data on company assets to support the annual insurance coverage
- Provide support to the Operations Accountant on analysing and reporting the variable costs against the budget
Qualifications & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably a qualification in accounting or finance
- Professional qualification with a recognised accounting institution, or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification
- Relevant financial experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good team player
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel
