Our client designs and manufactures aerostructures for both the civil and military aerospace markets. They require a Stress Engineer to work as part of a team, often deployed to a project that ensures structural integrity of an airframe product.
You will have experience of working as an aircraft stress engineer involved in the analysis of aircraft structures using a range of standard hand and computer methods.
An ability to carry out analysis on new and existing projects using traditional and finite element methods utilising PATRAN and NASTRAN.
The ability to assess structural problems under pressure and to work with other team members.
An ability to confidently undertake aircraft stress calculations, and produce clear, concise reports and other documentation, of appropriate quality.
You will have a Degree or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering however significant experience will be taken into consideration.
