A world leader in advanced technology engineering systems has aft manufacturers on many key programmes. An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Programmes Director which could also be called Projects Director or as my client calls it, Program Management Office-Director. This is a senior appointment with excellent career prospects. This opportunity is commutable of Worcester, Bristol, S Birmingham and Cheltenham.
You will provide strategic leadership to the programme management office and ensure programmes are delivered in accordance with best practice. Continuing development of the programme management tools and process will be required. You will also be prepared to act as a hands on Programme Manager and influence within a matrix structure.
You will be degree qualified and have managed major programmes with a value of $20m or more. preferably but not essentially in the aerospace or defence sector. Sector experience could also be in Automotive or Energy. Experience will have included risk management and Life Cycle Management.
