Our Client specialises in the design, development and manufacture of automotive body and chassis structural systems.

The Role: To comply with the company s total quality philosophy by seeking opportunities for continuous improvements, identifying ways of eliminating waste, communicating in an effective manner at all times and striving to exceed the internal and external customers expectations. You will support and help to create a safe working environment, considering company procedures and current legislation and operate in a manner that satisfies the requirement for confidentiality in the performance of duties.

You will facilitate the introduction of process improvements and new products within Production that reduce scrap and improve quality. You will also facilitate the improvement of OEE, establish and implement best practices, implement the training of best practice, ensure that all changes to the process are fed back to the Product, Quality and Design Engineers, ensure that all projects are on time and within the budgetary constraints, arrange for the design and manufacture of new product introduction or developments to existing processes, specify items of capital expenditure, write capex justifications and manage the successful introduction of new plant and equipment from initial specification through to commission. You will also actively lead the implementation of project continuous improvement activities. You must have a degree or HNC in Manufacturing Engineering and excellent communication skills - Written and verbal together with knowledge of control systems. You will need to be PC Literate, have problem solving techniques, team leadership skills, knowledge of PLC Control Systems and design and development of new processes.
