Our client is one of the UK`s leading brands and this now extends across Europe, the Middle East and as far as Hong Kong and Australia. It is a dynamic environment and we are therefore looking for someone who can inspire!
As Product Engineering Manager you will be working with the New Product Development team, at the forefront of improving quality through design and testing. You will be creating design standards and key in supporting new product launches applying such quality techniques as required to ensure that the products bought and supplied into the market meet company, national and international standards and specifications.
You must be analytical, logical and a good problem solver, able to manage multiple projects, including NPI and QE activities, able to manage a team of Engineers, be able to prioritise and focus, provide coaching, guidance and assistance, develop individuals to get the most out of them and ensure continued motivation, resolve issues and set objectives and monitor performance. You must also have experience of sourcing products from the Far East, have good communication skills with Chinese OEMs as part of NPI and QE activities and ensure problems are resolved effectively first time and in a timely manner. In addition, as part of problem solving ensure engagement with all affected parties internally and externally, be a good communicator with both internal and external stakeholders and ideally have a knowledge and experience of applying Quality Tools and Techniques. You will also need to have a broad knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, tools and techniques and be able to add value by developing the role and advancing the profile of the department within the company and within the Group.
