An exciting opportunity to work in a world leading Development Facility whose work is undoubtedly pushing the technology boundaries in future aircraft design. You will be an experienced Metrology Engineer of Graduate calibre with a proven track record in aerospace structures design, preferably composites and broad experience in surfacing, you will also have a knowledge of composite fabric laminating processes tool preparation, clean room expertise and cure processes Creative, innovative and resourceful, high in intellect and energy, you will have the ability to work across multifunctional teams in a matrix managed organisation.
Experience; working knowledge and familiarity with the following Geometrical Inspection systems, processes and equipment: Mitutoyo MCosmos version 3 revision 18 software and Mitutoyo CMM, Crysta Apex C9168 or similar with program generation capability essential Faro arm contact and non contact laser head system along with Polyworks Version 11,0.34 software. Macro programming experience ideal Use of precision inspection tooling and equipment, such as vernier callipers, micrometers, height gauges etc. within a research or production environment Tooling verification inspections Inspection, Stage and Design Drawings familiarity Knowledge of Datum strategies Measurement and reporting of aerofoils or aerofoil sections, Leen, Bow, Wave etc.
