Commodity Sourcing Leader (maternity cover)

Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Sourcing Manager to cover maternity leave (6-9months), and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below
Manage the supply base and ensure a cost effective, competent supply chain is in place to support global manufacturing needs. Commodities covered are Seals, stamping, fabrication and hardware
There may also be an opportunity to take part in purchasing activities in other business units.
- Primary contact for supplier interaction and negotiation.
- Manage product costs and lead times.
- Maintain effective measures and support improvement initiatives.
- Develop supplier relationships.
- Drive 100% on time delivery.
- Ensure adequate and flexible capacity in place to support business needs.
- Work towards zero defects with supply base.
- Identify Supplier risk.
- Maintain appropriate plant interaction.
- Clear understanding of Supply chain functions.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Analytical competence (cost models, data analysis etc).
