We are recruiting for a Project Manager on a 12-month contract based in Stafford.

As Project Manager, you will manage all aspects of cost reduction across multiple project teams to drive significant fiscal cost reduction for the Stafford facility by:
* Providing leadership to cross functional teams accountable for product related cost reduction.
* Actively pursues current product cost reduction.

This position has significant impact on the success of cost reduction for the Stafford site. Directs, co-ordinates and manages all activities relevant to delivering fiscal cost reduction across multiple teams and is responsible for identifying and building a portfolio of cost reduction ideas for execution over multiple years.

General duties include
1. This position leads continuous cost reduction initiatives within the cost reduction team and demonstrates leadership in recognizing the potential for cost reduction as well as responsibility for soundness of business proposals.
2. The role includes identifying cost reduction opportunities, ensuring projects are defined and financially justified through creation of business cases, launching project teams, use of project management skills to manage team activities, leading teams to execute projects, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers.
3. Drives collaboration among other functions and teams including Engineering, Category and Site Buyers, Logistics, Quality, Specifications and suppliers for successful cost reduction activities such as resourcing, design changes, process changes, negotiations and commercial agreements.
4. Responsible and accountable for the definition, development, implementation, training and effective use of methods and governance process to support cost reduction and to measure results.
5. Participate in project reviews and provide point of contact for project leaders for problem resolution

Experience, Qualifications required:
1. Degree
2. Project Management experience in Purchasing
3. Interpersonal skills
4. Demonstrated functional leadership and strength in directing teams to effective solutions
5. Analytical, problem solving and project management expertise
6. Effective communicator including written and oral
