Maintenance Manager
Oxford, Oxfordshire, England

This client offers a wide range of special products and services including security and authority vehicles and are looking for an experienced and proven Maintenance Manager to take on the following role:
Management of a multi skilled Maintenance Engineering team and Maintenance Planning organisation of 50+
Management of Maintenance strategies for new and existing facilities
Management of external maintenance and cleaning contracts
Support and lead problem solving activities with Maintenance engineering teams
Represent the assemble function in all issues pertaining to maintenance and technical engineering
Responsible for control on Budget, Availability , Energy usage, health and safety and environment
Key Accountabilities
To Manage Budget and Availability targets in-line with those defined within the corporate TMS ( target management system) process
To Achieve Problem resolution within established time frames and agreed criteria
To Define specific targets for individuals within the Maintenance organisation to ensure the overall achievement of departmental objectives
To develop and implement Maintenance tools and strategies to meet the increasing demands of production output
To have pro-active involvement with facility and product development to enhance volume achievement
Responsible for decision making associated with parts acquisition, planned maintenance activities, unplanned breakdown issues, health and safety and environment issues
Responsible for ensuring decisions reached are in-line with business objectives, budget constraints, and limit, where possible, impact on volume output
Qualifications and Skills
At least 3 years experience in a maintenance role in manufacturing/industrial environment.
leadership experience
Analytical and financial skills (budget responsibility) required.
Experience with a union workforce.
Strong communication and leadership skills are an absolute must. Ability to present ideas, work with various levels of the organisation and develop key strategies, key performance indices for the area of responsibility is essential.
Experience in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Degree in an Engineering discipline (i.e. mechanical and/or electronics, controls...)
