Our client is a high precision, low volume, machining company with links to motor racing powertrain.

They are seeking a contractor to work as a precision 4 and 5 Axis Miller in state of the art clean facilities. Tolerances are typically to 20 microns on ferrous, non-ferrous and high grade aluminium.

Contracts will be until the end of 2012 but may continue into 2013. NOTE, current shift pattern is either 8am-5.30pm or 5pm-2am. However this may revert to conventional 3 shift pattern so flexibility in work hours is essential

Based within a high precision machining area you will be responsible for setting and operating state of the art 4 and 5 axis Mori Seiki machines (horizontal and vertical). Machines run FANUC controls and simple programming in FANUC is required (G and M code)

Role Requirements:

- Time Served or qualified to NVQ, ONC, OND CandG or similar
- Ability to program in FANUC, set machine (offsets) and operate
- Demonstrate previous high precision CNC milling with a minimum of 4 ideally 5 axis on millers ideally Mori Seiki
- Have worked in aerospace, motorsport, precision machining, precision automotive or specialist sectors
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility on shifts
