Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands. Working in a team with a global focus, you will develop valuable knowledge of automotive parts and processes.
Focussing on a specific vehicle commodity - from Exterior to Interior, through Power Train, Chassis, and Electrical you will be responsible for delivering should cost estimates for a specific sub-set of parts, supporting the Purchase team in their negotiations with suppliers, working closely with Design Engineers as a business advisor, identifying and supporting the implementation of opportunities to reduce costs, influencing relevant programmes and commodity directions and supporting cross-functional, cross-brand and supplier charge outs.
You will need to demonstrate a range of relevant manufacturing process knowledge, together with technical awareness at both the production process and cost driver level. You will have excellent communication skills are vital, together with a proven ability to think on your feet and make appropriate decisions.
Automotive or Aerospace experience is preferred.
