Engine Development Test Engineer
Gaydon, Warwickshire, England
£21.10 - 21.10 per hour

The project engineer is responsible for delivery of test activities relating to PT Research and Technology projects. They will be the key interface between the project lead and hardware/test facility owners. The project engineer will lead development and delivery of detailed plans to support hardware procurement/installation and testing across a number of Diesel focused projects.

Skills Required:
Self driven with a strong engineering background. The project engineer will have excellent team working skills and an understanding of facility, instrumentation and test procedures.

Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of development processes/principles (GTDS and/or GPDS). Good PC skills, Excel, Word and Project. Working knowledge of Diesel and/or Gasoline engine/Powertrain systems and calibration. Disciplined approach to planning, prioritisation and evidence generation. Must have driving licence valid for use in the UK.

Experience Required:
Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are considered desirable. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.
