Lead Sustaining Engineer
Bristol/Cheltenham/Gloucester

The ideal candidate will possess the unique ability to work under pressure, leading engineering disposition of real-time and sometimes critical customer facing issues. The right candidate will strive to resolve issues impairing the operations/fulfillment teams' ability to deliver while maintaining sound engineering decision-making fundamentals. The Lead Engineer works directly with Customers, Manufacturing Engineering, Lab, Assembly / Test, Quality Assurance, and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities:
Customer designated signatory for authorized concessions 
Work directly with customer to define/increase local signatory authorization 
Develop/update of engineering portions of internal operating Concession procedures 
Assure compliance with internal Concession procedures 
Engineering focal for Concession audits 
Develop and integrate Global resources in Concession process 
Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain in process development/improvement 
Work with Product Improvement Lead to reduce recurring non-conformances and other areas to improve the product 
Bring any safety or integrity issues to the attention of their line manager 
Perform other duties as required

Qualifications Required: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeropscaer Engineeering with excellent communication and analytical skills, strong Six Sigma problem solving experience.
Working knowledge of aircraft hydraulic and actuation components.
