Subsection Manager - Integrated Product Development

The Subsection Manager Aerostructures Integrated Product Development will manage the Integrated Product Team Leaders for the fixed trailing edge work packages on the Airbus wing programs. The subsection manager is accountable for building the team, deploying project management processes and ensuring project management rigor. The IPT leaders work with the global engineering team to develop a product that meets customer requirements on time and to budget.

Essential Responsibilities:-
* Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnel
* Establish work group goals within framework of section technical and financial objectives
* Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, responsiveness to customer / program needs
* Facilitate communication of technical and business information between internal customers, external customers and within the team
* Communicate with management on technical, organisational, resource and personnel issues
* Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel
* Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning
* Promote professional growth through timely performance feedback, coaching and counselling
* Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work group

Qualifications / Requirements:-
* Degree in engineering or similar level of knowledge and experience
* Significant experience in a leadership role in an engineering environment
* Prior success managing engineering projects
* Experience working in an integrated product development team environment
* Prior project management experience employing integrated cost and schedule processes and tools
