PTSE Project Engineer

£22.40 - 22.40 per hour
The PTSE Current Engineering team is based at Gaydon and is part of the Power Train Systems Engineering group within Powertrain Engineering. The primary purpose of the group is to work closely with Power Train Quality department, to identify areas of high warranty, high customer dissatisfaction and high AA callout. We identify using standard quality tools, the root cause of the problem, which is either poor design, poor manufacture assembly or poor supplier quality. Solutions are implemented depending on route cause and lessons learnt cascaded to the forward Engineering teams.
Skills Required:
Record of proactive delivery and commitment to meeting dead lines. Self motivated and adaptable to changing demands. Sound understanding of the Design and Development Process. Able to demonstrate ability to manage projects to support timely delivery. Able to demonstrate understanding of test techniques and active involvement in rig, bench and vehicle testing . Able to demonstrate ability to plan and deliver components or systems. Able to demonstrate experience of managing suppliers. Good working knowledge of IT systems, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to negotiate with other functions to achieve objectives. Familiarity with PD processes and systems, WERS, AIMS etc.
Experience Required:
Must have experience in releasing through WERS. Raising ALERTS.
Experience Preferred:
An understanding of AWS would be preferred, but is not essential.
Education Required:
Degree level, or degree in progress, in a relevant field or subject.
