One of the world's leading Automotive manufacturers, established for more than 60 years, is seeking to expand its team of 250 engineers and specialists over the next 2-3 years at its attractive Warwick University based European Technical Centre.

They are currently seeking to recruit at CAD Engineer for Seating Trim for a brand new Small car project.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer for Interior Trim, the individual will be responsible for the following:

- Feasibility and detail design (3D modelling) engineering of seating system components.
- Maintaining master section book
- Development of concepts to solve issues prior to engineering release
- Performing DMU checks using Catia and Vismockup
- Maintenance and release of Door Trim system within PLM

All design work carried out on Catia V5

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree qualified or similar qualification
- Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
- Considerable Catia V5 experience on interior trim (ideally seats or trunk trim), minimum 3 years.
- Strong numeracy, literacy and logical reasoning skills
- Detailed knowledge and experience of bumper systems and underbody protection systems, e.g. under trays, heat shields, wheel arch liners.
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in variety of production and prototype manufacturing methods.
- Ability to work with local and remote colleagues.
- Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service
- Flexibility to apply themselves to a wide variety of tasks as required.
- Good communication skills
- Able to work as part of a team, independent, keen and enthusiastic.
