Chassis Mounting Systems Development Engineer

£21.10 - 21.10 per hour
Chassis Mounting Systems Development Engineer. Liaison between CMS engineers and rig test team, managing rig test requirements for bushes, engine mounts, and structural components. Create Component Design Specifications (CDS) for components. Create Engineering Specifications (ES) for suspension bushes/engine mounts. Quality improvement projects, managing supplier warranty returns analysis, component testing and rating specifications.
Skills Required:
Strong communication, team-working skills, and project management skills is essential to this role. Self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Good standard of PC literacy, especially the ability to analyse data in numerical/graphical format. Robust practical knowledge of engineering principles.
Skills Preferred:
Working knowledge of Failure Mode Avoidance Quality. Proven problem solving skills, use of DMAIC tools.
Experience Required:
Automotive engineering design/development experience.
Experience Preferred:
Design experience of suspension bushes/hydrabushes or engine mounts. NVH analysis/modelling experience. Experience of OEM Programme Management tools. Product Creation System (PCS)/GPDS .
Education Required:
Educated to HNC or HND level, in a relevant field or subject. Equivalent automotive experience in the above field will be considered.
Education Preferred:
Educated to degree level, in a relevant field or subject.
