Client Information
Our client, with a 30 year history and today one of the major players in the UK market, they supply complete electrical solutions for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Having a strong presence in the UK, they have manufacturing sites in Midlands and the North of England

Main Duties
The post holder will be responsible for the quality of the materials used in manufacturing and to manage quality related issues with suppliers. Also to provide a Quality Control support service to internal Manufacturing departments and to apply the Company's quality system to reduce supplier quality issues, reduce manufacturing quality costs and customer defects

Job description
-Responsible for quality requirements for internally and externally manufactured items.
-Working in conjunction with engineering and manufacturing departments, design and implement effective process inspection procedures.
-Work on specific projects as allocated by the department manager, including the facilitation of Kaizen events.
-Manage and maintain the calibration system in accordance with ISO9001.
-Management of non-conforming materials.
-Develop and deploy Quality Control systems within the company policy.
-Participate in the investigation of Customer complaints.
-Produce Certificates of Conformity as required.


Key skills and experience
-Strong thorough understanding of Quality Control systems, with manufacturing industry experience
-An understanding of the processes involved in sheet metal fabrication and hot dip galvanisation would be an advantage.
-Previous experience of Metal Manufacturing industry
-Excellent analytical skills.
-A practical hands-on approach to problem solving.
-A working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word packages
