Engine Programme Development Project Engineer
Coventry, West Midlands, England
£25.70 - 25.70 per hour

The project engineer is responsible for management and delivery of the relevant DV activity for engine programmes to support engineering sign-off. They will be the key interface between the specific development/durability activities, feeding the results back to the relevant customers ensuring these are delivered on time. They also support planning activity for future programmes.

Skills Required:
Self driven with a strong engineering background, excellent team working skills and an understanding of Product Development processes, GPDS principles, instrumentation and test facilities.

Skills Preferred:
Good analytical skills and PC skills Excel, Word and Project Working knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engine, powertrain systems and calibration. Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping. Must have a driving license valid for use in the UK.

Experience Required:
Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment. Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.

Experience Preferred:
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are considered desirable. A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.

Education Required:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.
