One of the world's leading Automotive manufacturers, established for more than 60 years, is seeking to expand its team of 250 engineers and specialists over the next 2-3 years at its attractive Warwick University based European Technical Centre.
They are currently seeking to recruit a Principal Engineer for Exterior Trim Glazing Systems for a key vehicle project.
Reporting to the Exterior Trim Lead Engineer, the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Feasibility and detailed design (3D Modelling) engineering of exterior trim glazing systems components.
- Maintaining master section book
- Development of concepts to solve issues prior to engineering release
- Perform DMU checks using Catia V5 and Vismockup
- Maintenance and release of exterior trim systems within PLM system
All design work is carried out on Catia V5.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree qualified or similar qualification
- Minimum of 5 years automotive experience is essential.
- Strong numeracy, literacy and logical reasoning skills
- Detailed knowledge and experience of glazing design
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge in a variety of production and prototype manufacturing methods
- Ability to work with local and remote colleagues
- Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service
- Flexibility to apply themselves to a wide variety of tasks as required
