We seek a Applications Analyst for an initial 6-month contract based in Peterlee.

THE COMPANY:
Caterpillar Articulated Trucks is located in Peterlee (County Durham). The facility"s manufacturing activities utilise the latest computer analysis techniques, robotic technology, and a "state of the art" paint plant along with rigorous attention to quality. Machines are shipped from the site to customers around the world, typically used in the aggregates and mining industries.

THE ROLE:
As Applications Analyst, you will work in the Information Services department. Reporting to the Business Transformation Team Lead the role includes Business Transformation and business support responsibilities.

Working in values based environment, some of the responsibilities of this role are:
- Achieving Health and Safety Excellence
- Performing Applications support activities in relation to Change and Service Management
- Supporting the various Business Transformation teams as they prepare the business for new business processes and the implementation of SAP
- Documenting of IT rules and mapping processes
- Developing Transactional Standard Work
- Handling requests for systems access
- Helping with support of web services

THE PERSON:
Applicants are required to have the following skills and experience for this challenging position:
- Applications / Structured programming experience
- Customer focused with a professional manner
- Confident interpersonal skills
- Disciplined - attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
- Self-starter - willing to work independently, learn and use initiative within defined areas
- Logical - fault finding using methodologies
- Ability to work alone and fit within an engaged team environment
- Knowledge of some of the following would be useful but not essential - MS Access, SQL, MS Excel, MS Visio, web content management services, COBOL, Project Management

This is a contracting position with a pay rate up to £21.50/hr Ltd
