Client Information
My client a global market leading manufacturing company based in West Yorkshire require a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their established team.

Main Duties

The main responsibilities of the position are to ensure high mechanical engineering availability throughout the department. This includes responsibilities for Health, Safety and Environment, maintaining engineering standards, development of equipment and monitoring of plant reliability and costs

Job description
-Ensure the manufacturing plant has the highest possible level of engineering availability at all times with respect to both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance for any breakdowns.
-Will be working as part of multi skilled team .
- Will be responsible for all fitting job duties including, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding and fabrication
-Investigate plant breakdowns and conduct root cause analysis and implement findings to prevent re-occurrence in line with company procedures.
-Develop Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules for all areas of plant to maximise availability and productivity.
-Manage engineering activities to comply with Health, Safety and Environment requirements.
-Implement and control engineering safe working practices, to prevent accidents, plant failure and loss of production.


Key skills and experience

-Candidates should ideally be educated to HNC / HND or higher with experience of a range of heavy engineering and manufacturing industry experienced with a strong mechanical engineering background.
-Previous experience with Conveyors, Gearboxes, Pumps and Drive gears would be an advantage
-Candidates should have experience of a high volume manufacturing environment.
-Proven ability to solve problems through investigation and application of sound solutions
