Mechanical Engineer - Rotating Equipment - East London - £Neg

A Mechanical Engineer with original design of mechanical equipment and machines is required to work in this global sugar, cereal sweetener, starch and citric acid processing company based in East London.
The successful candidate will have experience of:

Rings, rotating seals, bearings, geared and chain drives and circlips.
Working knowledge of PD5500, BSEN9001 and be able to use 2D and 3D design packages.
Working with limits and fits for various mechanical applications as above.
Knowledge of Strength of Materials and be able to calculate criteria such as component loadings, deflections under load, shaft stressing, moment arms etc.
Good knowledge of machine shop practice, the limitations of various machine shop processes with the ability to communicate ideas and requirements to artisan machine shop personnel.

This position does involve travel within the UK and the World so the Mechanical Engineer must be able and willing to do so, sometimes at short notice.
