Opportunity for a recent Graduate seeking a career in Automotive Trim Engineering

The Centre offers talented Automotive Engineers and Managers the opportunity to work on a wide range of passenger car and commercial vehicle projects in a highly professional environment with excellent prospects for career development and progression. Located close to the Warwickshire countryside the Centre is commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Leicester, Warwick, Stratford, Northampton, Milton Keynes.
An opening now exists for a Graduate with a minimum of 1 year relevant industry experience to join the team. The main activities and tasks for this job are to:
• Report to the Lead Engineer for Exterior Trim
• Deliver exterior trim protection systems components on time and to budget on a state-of-the-art new technology vehicle project. Note; this is not a design role.
• Drive closure of issues and establish cost / timing impact
• Support the engineering deliverables through to sign-off of the vehicle
• Manage ETRS and engineering change tracker
• Manage parts procurement, manufacture and assembly
Candidate requirements:
• Master’s Degree or 1st Class, 2.1 Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 1 year automotive industry experience working in the design of any of the following; Body, Structures, Exterior Trim, Interior Trim, Hardware, Lighting (components and / or tooling) for a vehicle OEM or Tier 1 / 2 supplier.
• Experience of using a 3D CAD package would be useful but not mandatory.
• Strong numeracy and literacy
• Good logical reasoning
• Good interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Exhibit a confident personality and possess excellent communications skills
• Chartered or prepared to work toward it
• Ability to overcome cultural barriers
• Be happy to travel to India up to 6 times per year for a week duration on each occasion
• Must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction
