Salary: Up to £24 per
hour (DOE)

Our client is looking to recruit a Business Systems
Developer/Analyst to work on a 12 month contract basis. Reporting to the IT
Manager. The working hours are 36 per week but some flexibility may be
required.

Purpose of
Position

Designing and developing stable and reliable,
‘information’-reporting platforms and process automation.  To assist in the delivery of pro-active
analysis to drive key performance indicators, managing situations through
factual route cause data, to produce and drive effective action plans through
to successful conclusion.  Work with
their key customer base and ensure the provision of accurate and timely
operational performance reports.

Key
Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and fully document applications,
databases and scripts that automate routine tasks. Design, develop, test, and
documents applications and databases for data analysis of performance
measurements used for planning and reporting activities.

 Develops software
programs involving complex data exchange among multiple programs and/or
requiring sophisticated program logic; develops reusable software modules;
develops software test procedures; and reviews program documentation to ensure
adequacy. Ensures programming projects are planned, programmed, tested, and
implemented by project deadlines. Tests, corrects, refines changes and errors
to databases. Advises individuals and groups having diverse viewpoints and
opinions on the most appropriate, effective, and efficient solutions.

Skills

Candidates will require sound commercial background with
knowledge of contractual commitments and legal requirements in a service
oriented operation.   A technical
aptitude that facilitates an understanding of technical terminology and the
promotion and implementation of the management system.

Education/Qualification

Candidates should be of degree calibre with extensive
business experience in Service Management in a business-to-business
environment.  Extensive experience of
relational database and development of access database.  Experience of developing SQL and Crystal
reports and high degree of PC literacy is required.  Extensive experience with VB, .Net and other
high level programming languages and structured development techniques.
