An opportunity has arisen for an Industrial Engineer to work with an automotive tier one supplier - supplying interior trim to some of the major OEMs in the UK and Europe. Due to expansion, they are now looking to recruit an Industrial Engineer to work within Manufacturing.
As Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Apply statistical methods to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.
- Review production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities
- Communicate with management and user personnel to develop production and design standards.
- Analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- Good knowledge of "Lean Manufacturing Techniques"
- Establishes work measurement programs and analyses work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation
