Quality Inspection Manager

As an expereinced Quality Assurance / Inspection Manager you will provide Leadership and Operational Management of all Inspection processes and procedures within the quality function by:
- Providing a component Quality Inspection service to the business which minimises component quality risk within programme timelines and budget boundaries
- Propose recommendations for facilities and headcount aligned to the design requirements, programme timescales and budget boundaries
Key Duties:
- Responsible for the Leadership and daily Management of Inspection operations including scheduling and prioritising of all work.
- Providing Leadership, direction, and support to staff within the inspection operation, including staff issues, technical and design discussion points.
- Propose and advise the Management team in inspection design through a full range of techniques including random or sample inspection, low level visual inspection, bench metrology, CMM or machine measured metrology according to design criteria and assessed risk.
- Develop continuous improvement plans to provide Leadership and direction of Health and Safety, Quality, delivery adherence, productivity and cost improvement activity for inspection operations.
- Operational lead for NCR resolution, ensuring appropriate decisions are made given lead time requirements
- Develop positive relationships with principle interfaces including heads of planning, build, design office and quality engineering functions.
- Ensuring adequate skilled resource is proposed and deployed to fulfil programme timescale requirements.
- Ensure Quality Assurance inspection processes are documented, controlled and completed in a diligent and traceable manner. Ensure the results obtained are both accurate and repeatable
- Actively manage the budget for the Inspection area.
