Are you an engineering project manager with BIW experience including automation assembly and robotic welding processes who wants to gain a high level of exposure on NPI projects for OEMs such as JLR, Toyota, Honda and BMW?
A global first tier automotive manufacturer operating from a Midlands based site in the UK requires an engineering project manager with experience of the European market to support their NPI activities within their high volume BIW environment.
This is an exciting opportunity with responsibilities including;
- Ensuring successful delivery of NPIs from conception to volume production
- Establishing best practice engineering for the UK facility
- Creating a common approach within the plant to ensure production demands are met
- Managing all new program activities from concept through to prototype and production within a pressed, welded and assembly environment.
You should have a proven track record of NPI project delivery within 1st Tier Automotive in BIW / Pressed Assemblies and a deep understanding of lean principles and visual management. In addition to this, you should be very familiar with modern processes including automation assembly and robotic welding
This vacancy comes with an attractive package of a £50k salary plus benefits. Candidates with a second European language such as Spanish or German would be advantageous but this is not essential.
